Doris L. Wolff, age 87, died on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Parkside Assisted Living in DeForest. She was born on November 3, 1922 in the Town of Burke to Edward and Mabel (Kittleson) Bork. She married Herbert Wolff on October 16, 1943 at Burke Lutheran Church. Doris graduated from Madison East High School. She worked for 26 years for the Wisconsin Cheeseman. She worked for the Colonial Club for many years and was a lifelong resident of the Token Creek Area.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Beverly (Gerald) Lange of Madison, Marilyn Wolff of Madison, Janice (Galen) Peterson of Sun Prairie, Nancy (William) Schmidt of DeForest; 7 grandchildren, Sara, Erik and Mark Lange, Chase (Megan) Peterson and Brooke Peterson, Timothy (Brooke) Schmidt and Andrew Schmidt.
A brother, Donald (Karen) Bork of Sturgeon Bay; a sister, Marian Heisig of Madison

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1995; 2 sisters, Adell Degenhardt, Rachel Christianson and a brother Vernon Bork.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Burke Lutheran Church, 5720 Portage Road in Madison with Pastor Russ Leeper presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to Burke Lutheran Church or HospiceCare Inc. The family would also like to thank HospiceCare Inc. and the staff at Parkside Assisted Living for their compassionate care.
Though her smile is gone forever
And her hand we cannot touch,
