Catherine (Kay) Imberg, age 93, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Hyland Park in Sun Prairie. She was born on April 22, 1927 to John and Katherine (Decker) Alt in Plain. She was united in marriage to Alfred Imberg on June 7, 1949 at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Plain. She was a member of Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Alter Society, Catholic Foresters. She worked at Piggly Wiggly Store for many years. After she retired, she enjoyed volunteering at the Red Barn and food Pantry, Colonial Club and Sacred Hearts. In her free time, she loved to go on trips and play bingo with Linda, play cards with her friends and family. Kay also loved to go camping and fishing.
She is survived by her children, Judy of Black River Falls, Linda of Sun Prairie, Tom of Marshall, Tim (Geri) of Sun Prairie; a grandson Ben (Kelsey) of Pardeeville, a sister Erna Crosby of Sauk City and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1985; sisters, Hilda, Dorothy, Mary; brothers, Ed, Al, Andrew, John and Don; sisters-in-law, Elsie, Lorraine, Florentine, Betty Ann, Florence; Brother-in-laws, Orville, Frank, John and a son-in-law Terry Schrader.
A private service is being held.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie. Burial will be held at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. Please follow Covid Rules.
