Carol Ann Davis, age 84, , passed away peacefully at home
surrounded by her loved ones on September 15, 2022. She was born in Columbus on December 14, 1937 to Alvin and Hattie (Warmuth) Benisch.
She married Wilbur “Clay” Davis on June 9, 1956 at Sacred Hearts Church
in Sun Prairie. Carol worked for the USAFI. She also worked at FDIC as
a secretary. Her last place of employment for many years was at the United Methodist Conference Center in Sun Prairie. Carol loved spending time with
her family. She enjoyed quilting, walking, preparing her traditional favorite
dishes and having fun at Ho-Chunk Casino.
Carol is survived by: her children; Deborah Lindberg of Madison, Julie
(Arthur) Hurckman of Sun Prairie, and Dawn (Bruce) Campbell of Waupan;
7 grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Dobbel, Sarah Campbell- Ziegler, Marci
(Gregory) Conner, Tanya (Ryan) Gloede, Ian (Sarah) Campbell, and
Lindsey Lindberg. 9 great-grandchildren, Taylor and Hailey Dobbel, Eve
Campbell, Elise Ziegler, Kaylin and Jace Gloede, Caden and Blake Conner
and Mason Greenfield. Two brothers, Herbert (Shirley) Benish of Sun
Prairie, Arthur (Patricia) Benisch of Windsor; and a sister, Ruth Gillette of Madison.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clay, granddaughter
Kayle Lindberg, brother in law Gary Gillette, sister in law Lois Benish, and
a brother Dick (Lori) Warmuth.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. Sun Prairie. Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of service. Pastor Jenny Arneson will preside. Burial will follow at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
