Betty H. Jones, age 89 passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Parkside Retirement Community in DeForest. She was born on August 25, 1931 in Plain and was the daughter of Anton and Irene (Heiser) Bindl.
Betty married Dwayne Jones on June 23, 1951 in Reedsburg. Betty worked at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center for 10 Years. Upon retiring Betty and Dwayne resided in Lake Camelot (Nekoosa) for 20 years; returning to Sun Prairie in 2007.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Carol) of Denver, CO, Nancy Mautz of Sun Prairie; foster son David Hewitt of DeForest; 3 grandchildren, Austin (Lisa) Mautz of Delafield, Amber (Ryan) Weis of DeForest, Corey (Vanessa) Jones of Denver; 6 great grandchildren, Grace, Jonathan, Isabella, Alexis, Henry and Nolin;
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dwayne; a son-in-law John Mautz; 2 brothers, Florian and Victor; 2 sisters Dolores Anderson and Virginia Schutz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 229 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, with Father Lawrence Oparaji presiding and Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt as the homilist. Burial will follow at Sacred Hearts Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church on Thursday. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Agrace Hospice or Sacred Hearts Cemetery Fund.
