Barbara Ann “Polly” Seib, age 86, died Sunday, September 8, 2019 at her home. She was born on April 16, 1933 at home in Columbus and was the daughter of Clemence and Frances (Haberman) Weisman. She married Richard Seib on May 15, 1952 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol.

Polly was a homemaker who loved to cook, can and bake. She loved her tobacco and chickens. She worked at North Bristol Gun Club for 11 years helping prepare food for the Friday night fish fry.

She is survived by 7 children, Douglas (Mae) Seib, Delores Schoepp, Suzanne Wilpolt, Dan (Sue) Seib, Teresa (Jeff) Williams, Nancy (Pete) Friese, Tom (Rose Walker) Seib; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; a brother Kenneth (Rosie) Weisman; brother-in-law David (Judy) Seib; and a sister-in-law Sharon (Ed) Jeffers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Richard in 2005.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Bristol with Father Vince Brewer presiding. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, and at church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Heartland Hospice for all their support and kindness. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.

So many great memories of Polly....especially how much she loved her chickens. Our sincerest sympathies go out to the entire family. Until we meet again Polly!

My deepest condolences to the Seib family. Your mom was a wonderful lady. I know our parents deeply valued the friendship of your parents. Now, they are all neighbors again! Blessings to all of you.

My deepest sympathy to your family. I remember my mom going to get eggs. She always enjoyed the visits. We all enjoyed having them as neighbors .

My heart goes out to the Seib family. Polly touched so many lives and will be missed by many. I am both grateful and appreciative for the wonderful memories.
But I have one question....what should I do with my nickels?

I remember Polly giving me pickles as a child. She even gave me a jar of pickles as a present on my wedding day. She was such a sweet lady.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire Seib family.

You all are in my thoughts, especially Dee .... I am so very sorry for your loss.

Your Mom will always be in your hearts - May your memories keep her spirit alive, and with you.

Barbara Ann was a gentle, sweet woman who loved family, including extended family. I know my own mother loved her dearly. I remember watching the girls when the family harvested tobacco. And I remember my mother going over to help "dress the ducks", coming home with a few for her own family. My sympathies go to the family who I know loved her dearly. So glad I had a chance to visit with her before her passing.

I am so sorry that I will be gone on her funeral day, but know that I will be thinking of the family, and wishing you all well.
