Arthur F Zersen, 87, of Lodi, passed away, March 24, 2020, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison.
Art was born on July 14, 1932, the only child of Frederick and Edna Zersen. He married JoAnne Heuer in 1955, in Libertyville, Illinois.
Art graduated from Libertyville High School in 1950. He began his career in the LP gas business in Elgin, Illinois and retired in 1989 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. He & Jo RV’d full-time from 1989 until 1996 when Jo passed away. Art then resided in Boulder Junction with his son for approximately 15 years and in Lodi with his daughter for almost four years.
Art had fond memories of and loved to reminisce about his family vacations in northern Wisconsin, he liked listening to music, watching NASCAR and spending time with family and friends.
Art is survived by his children, Jeff (Jody) Zersen, Leslie Mckibben, Brad (Pam) Zersen and Scott (Maureen Friel) Zersen; grandsons Brandon (Monica) and Jason Clemens, granddaughters Nikki (Mike) Beachy, JoJo Mckibben (Brendan Sharpe), Jordan (Tim) Hughes and Chelsey (Riley) Ruegsegger; great grandchildren Josi, Ashton, Rylan, Drew, Isaac and Caleb, Dawson, Emmerson, baby Hudson due in June and Kylan and Keira.
The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital for their wonderful care while he was there.
A celebration of life with family and close friends will be held at a later date.
