Agnes L. (Suchomel) Webber, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born on March 8, 1923 in Sun Prairie and was the daughter of Vincent and Mathilda (Benisch) Suchomel. Agnes was united in marriage to Russell Webber on May 7, 1946 and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage. Agnes was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church and a longtime member of St. Ann's Altar Society. She was employed seasonally at the Wisconsin Cheeseman for many years. She finally reached her goal of Donating 5 gallons of blood to the Red Cross in 1985. She enjoyed, in her early years, playing the accordion. She also liked crotcheting, playing bingo, sheepshead, euchre and a good laugh. She was also courageous and strong through major surgeries over the last 10 years. Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her, children; Carol (Edward) Knapton, of Cottage Grove, Robert Webber of Sun Prairie, Richard (Ruth Nellen) Webber of Waterloo, Mary (Ronald) Wagner of Sun Prairie, seven grandchildren; Jennifer (Russell) Lautzenhiser, of Everett, WA, Christopher (Chanley) Webber of Detroit, Michigan, Paul Webber of McFarland, Becky Webber of McFarland, Nicholas Wagner of Sun Prairie, Wendy (Victor) Alighieri of Sun Prairie, Michael Wagner of Sun Prairie, and 10 almost 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Rudy (Janet), Vern (Carol); and sister, Florence Weber all of Sun Prairie; sisters-in-law, Ria Suchomel and Ruth Suchomel of Sun Prairie and Mary Suchomel of Burlington and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell; brothers, Leander, Roman Reinold and Alfred; sisters, Frances, Cyrilla, and Cecelia; and two infant brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, 227 Columbus Street, in Sun Prairie with Father John Putzer presiding. Burial will be in Sacred Hearts Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m.on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus Street, in Sun Prairie.
The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare, Dr. Greg Motl, Kim Walker,RN, Colonial Club Adult Care Center, Interim Health Care and all the attending Personal Care Givers who made her life comfortable at home. The family suggest in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Sacred Hearts
